YET STILL

Sport teams blossom under the tutelage of a good coach.  Many times the reasons for certain types of training are only known to the coach…YET STILL the athletes willingly participate in the conditioning because they trust their coach and mentor. The purpose and value of the preparation will be fully understood by the players when the game they are preparing for is played.

As Sportmoms we are fully aware of this YET STILL process.

    - We feed our children healthy foods even when they may not appreciate them. Why?
Because we know their bodies need the nutrition in order to be strong for their sport and for life.

    - We see to it that our children get both the rest they need whether they want to “go to bed” now
       or not.

     - We enroll our children in activities that will strengthen their minds and bodies even if their
        willingness is sometimes a question.

     - We teach them the basics of right and wrong decision making even before they can speak in
preparation for the difficult choices they will face as adults.

During these years of mothering, our offspring may not fully grasp the importance of our training rituals…YET STILL they cooperate with us.  Why?  Because since we are their parents they trust us.  Later they will come to understand and appreciate the purpose and value of this preparation.

The YET STILL concept also applies to our daily walk with the Lord.  Recently Pastor Stan Russell captured this process when he said …

“When we can’t track Him, yet still, we must trust Him!”

Much like the athletes and our children, we may not understand the purpose or value of what God is requiring of us.  Tracking Him may be difficult but trusting Him is deliberate.

“The ways of God are without fault. The Lord's words are pure. He is a shield to those who trust him.”  Psalm 18:30 NCV

“Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:9 NCV

God’s plan for us is perfect…YET STILL it often escapes our understanding. As we sit under the trustworthy tutelage of the greatest life coach ever – Jesus Christ – we will be both protected today and prepared for tomorrow. These are excellent reasons for trusting Him!

TRUSTING IS WALKING INTO GOD’S PLAN…NOT INVITING HIM INTO OURS.

Blessings…as you live out the “YET STILL” by trusting in God’s plan today.

"Where He leads me...I will follow...The divine agreement, resulting
in companionship sublime! for our small group, we are to walk out
in varied situations this week (and from here on....) checking on our
procedures vs. Jesus' way...just walk in His plan, not making ours and inviting Him in! thanks for the affirmation of this type of committment!
