FAN THE FLAME WITHIN

"For me, at least, there came moments when faith wavered. But there is the great lesson and the great triumph: keep the fire burning until, by and by, out of the mass of sordid details there comes some result." Oliver Wendell Holmes

I can easily get lost in the details and lose my perspective.  Staying on-task as a sportmom is not only rewarding to me but absolutely vital to my family.  Here is a week's worth of "TO DO's"  to help FAN THE FLAME WITHIN as we do life BEHIND THE BENCH....

1.  Hand out "DO-IT-RIGHT" special privilege coupons - catch you kids doing what is right.

2.  Venture outside of the box... in fact throw it away!  Look for new ways of doing things and
discard the "why it won't work" comments.

3.  Check it out - if in doubt. Stop with the negative assumptions and discover what is really
     going on.

4.  Look for the win - applaud both big and small victiories.

5.  Practice enthusiasm - it's contagious!

6.  Give away that which you desire.

7.  Laugh alot! ... even when things go wrong.

As a veteran Coach's wife, Janet Brown launched SPORTMOMS & MORE in 2008.  We believe that God has called each sportmom to her role as Mom of an athlete, coach's wife or gal coach.  This ministry is designed to support and encourage those who nurture our athletes as they "run the race set before them".
