Three is a great number. Things placed in three’s are pleasant to the eye and easily understood when used in writing and speaking. A third person changes the dynamics of conversation and relationships…we all know that “three can be a crowd” or break a tie.
There are three basic components of the mindset of all athletes: Start – Play – Win! The competition begins with putting self aside for the team effort. It unfolds with strong play even when the scoreboard shows a lower number. The win is reached when at the buzzer or finish line the crowd applauds the effort… a BASIC THREE for all athletes and teams.
There is a BASIC THREE for Christianity clearly stated by the Apostle Paul ...
“ …Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures…he was buried and raised on the third day and was seen by (many)…“ I Corinthians 15:3-6
HE STARTED Christ willingly died in our place as atonement for our sins.
HE PLAYED Christ conquered his opponent – death - so we can live forever.
HE WON MANY Christ left a lasting legacy - a crowd of witnesses was proof.
PRAYER: Thank you, Lord, for these BASIC THREE truths. I want to START, PLAY and WIN. I willingly die to sin today. With your help I will conquer the perils of life. May my lasting legacy be a crowd of witnesses who experience You.
