GLORIOUS GRACE

Grace is easily and thankfully received however it can be difficult to give.  Receiving it is the “whew” factor when we escape deserved consequences brought on by our own infractions.  It is also the decision we make not to punish someone who offends us when they fall short of our expectations.

Errors in sports are penalized with not much room for grace when the referee whistle blows or a flag is thrown down.  Next the player/ team and the infraction is called out.  The penalty is leveled.  And finally, the punishment is taken.  Players and coaches are free to extend an accepting attitude as they interact with the opposing team and one another during their penalty call ..a moment of GLORIOUS GRACE.

THE OFFERING of grace...

God offers His GLORIOUS GRACE to us for our inexcusable errors.  

               ADMIT our error  -  ASK for forgiveness  - ACCEPT God’s free gift of grace

“Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.”  Matthew 6:6 The Message
