HOW TO HAVE A DAILY PRAYER-POWER EXPERIENCE

In Robert Foster’s booklet “7 Minutes With God” he gives 3 basic steps for prayer time. Below I have added some practical application in italics.  This outline has brought me a truly powerful prayer experience:

1. Begin with a brief prayer for guidance . . .
a simple:  "Here I am - what do you have in mind for
    me today?"

2. Read the Bible passage . . .
Re-write the scripture passage in your own words listing:

                                    - God’s traits you have discovered
                                    - How these traits play out in your life
                                    - Recognizing these traits in others

3. Finish with a short time of prayer that includes adoration, confession, thanksgiving, requests for
yourself and others.  Close by praying your re-written scripture followed by listening for His
    answers.

REMEMBER:
An important part of praying is a willingness to be part of the answer.  (ODB)
