SHINING LAMPS

Lamps have squelched darkness since tamed fire began to be used as a light source.  The oil lamp became the first man-made protective container to house a burning flame...a flame that would light many-a path. Today electric lamps light up dark corners of houses and businesses as well as shedding a flood of light on streets and stadiums. We are privileged to have these lamps in our lives.
 
There is also the eternal lamp of God’s Word that illuminates our lives.

• GOD SHINES THE LAMP OF HIS WORD INTO THE DARK CORNERS OF OUR LIVES...

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”  John 8:12 NIV

• GOD SHINES THE LAMP OF HIS WORD ON THE PATH AHEAD...

Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105

• GOD SHINES THE LAMP OF HIS WORD INTO OUR LIVES TO LIGHT UP THE WORLD...

As recorded by one who walked this earth with Jesus, we are light in this dreary world...

As Christ followers may we affirm Christ’s presence in our lives with these words...
