ADORING GOD'S KINGDOM

Note:  The first SPORTMOM E-votional of each month is dedicated to our word-for-the-year…ADORE.

    "Oh Lord...this is your kingdom - We ADORE YOU..."                                I Chronicles 29:11 NLT (portions)

All things on this earth and beyond belong to the Creator.The earth and all that comes from it is by His hand.  The creatures of the land and sea move at His command. The skies, winds, sun and moon are in His control.  Mankind is His ultimate creation, an expression of His heart.  This is His kingdom. 

God’s kingdom has no boundaries and neither should our adoration for our Maker.  In both our worship and works we, as His ultimate creation, ADORE Him. 

Worshipping God with our mouths in prayer, song and good words is evidence of our adoring connection with Him. 

You who bring good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, “Here is your God!”  Isaiah 40:9 NIV

We also adore Him with our deeds, careers, responsibilities and in every way we live and move.  

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.  Ephesians 2:10 NIV

PRAYER:   I am honored to be in your kingdom.  I choose to ADORE you through both my worship and my works.  As I do, may others come to know you as their Maker and friend just as I have. May your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  In Your Son’s Name I pray, Amen.
