PURPOSEFUL PERSPECTIVE

Living with PURPOSEFUL PERSPECTIVE seems quite easy for some yet rather difficult for others.  There are those that are seemingly born with an innate and focused outlook on life.  Others find it's importance as they go along in life.  Either way, there are lifestyle choices to be made that embrace our purpose with healthy and hopeful perspective or erode it with flawed and negative perspective.

Sports can reveal our perspective of choice.  Do we expect a possible win or a possible loss?  Do we choose a hopeful ‘we almost won" perspective or a defeated ‘we lost again 'one.  Athletes must choose whether to possess a hope-filled perspective or a hopeless one. A PURPOSEFUL PERSPECTIVE carries with it life-enhancing hope that will impact the future.

“While we can’t always control the things of life that impact our day, we do have a choice. We can continue to brood over the “mess,” or we can change our perspective.”  Randy Kilgore

The perspective of Paul the Apostle was dramatically changed one day when he was on the road to Damascus…

About noon as I came near Damascus, suddenly a bright light from heaven flashed around me.  I fell to the ground and heard a voice say to me, ‘Saul! Saul! Why do you persecute me?’  “‘Who are you, Lord?’ I asked.  “ ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting,’ he replied.  Acts 22:6-8 NIV

After being the persecutor of Christians, Paul suddenly became a perpetuater of the Good News of Jesus Christ...he gained a whole new perspective.  The blindness created by the bright light was healed, he was given a new name (from Saul to Paul) and a new PURPOSEFUL PERSPECTIVE was given to him by Jesus himself saying…

“The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth. You will be his witness to all people of what you have seen and heard.” Acts 22:14-15 NIV

Whether we make a nonevent-filled choice to practice perspective or are faced with a road-to-Damascus experience that takes us there, a truly Christ-centered life requires the resolve to have PURPOSEFUL PERSPECTIVE.

PRAYER:  Please fill me with your purpose, Lord.  I choose to let the bright light of Your perspective invade my mind with the hope-filled thoughts of Your perspective. May your purpose be mine.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen

CHOOSE THE BRIGHT LIGHT OF GOD’S PERSPECTIVE!
