TIMELESS MUST-HAVE's

There are certain things in life that we view as everyday MUST-HAVE’s.  For women it may be certain basic wardrobe items.  For men it might be a certain type of jeans or trousers.  For children it could be the latest video game. Whatever is on our must-have list, to one degree or another we consider it either a non-negotiable, impossible to do without, all-important, indispensable, integral, necessary, required or vital.

All sport teams require a MUST-HAVE…it is the uniform.  Entering the playing arena with a freshly laundered uniform signifying who they represent is the best way to start any competition.

There are certain significant, all-important, vital and timeless MUST-HAVE’s for our Christian journey.  Here are three non-negotiables recorded by Paul in his writing to the church in Rome:  

“Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer…”  
Romans 12:12  

An attitude of HOPE!  “To talk with God no breath is lost - talk on!” *
The will to be PATIENT!  “To walk with God, no strength is lost - walk on!” *
A lifestyle of PRAYER!  “To wait on God, no time is lost - wait on!” *

“God does not depend on our time. Our time is chronological and linear but God . . . is timeless. He will act at the fullness of His time. Our prayer . . . may not necessarily rush God into action, but . . . places us before Him in fellowship.” Samuel Enyia

PRAYER:  Today I will climb into a freshly laundered spiritual uniform wearing your timeless MUST-HAVE’s.  I align my time-sensitive needs with your timeless plan by remaining hopeful, practicing patience, and fellowshipping with you in steadfast prayer.  In Jesus Name, Amen

          OUR TIMELESS GOD IS EVER-PRESENT IN EACH LIFE CIRCUMSTANCE.
